Rizhao enjoys mild and pleasant climate with four clear seasons, is an ideal place for natural bathing beach, holiday, summer resort and water sports. Rizhao has been nominated as “ChinaTopTouristCity” by State Tourism Administration since December 2003. In recent years, Rizhao tourism industry is in a rapid growth, e.g. in 2005, there were 7.81 million tourists visited Rizhao with an increase of 46.3% of total revenue of 3.84 billion yuan (8.2% of GDP) compared with previous year.
