Port: There are two national first-class open ports in the city-RizhaoPort and LanshanPort, and both are famous for their deep water and broad bay, linking marine courses to Osaka, Yokohama , Nagoya of Japan and Busan and Pyongtaek(passenger transport) of South Korea directly and some other important ports of the world as well. As one of the ten largest ports in China, Port of Rizhao boasts of a potentiality of more than 100 various berths with a throughout capacity up to over 200 million tons. Among 28 berths, one 50,000-200,000t class berth for petroleum, one 100,000t class berth for coal, one 250,000-350,000t class ore berth and other advanced berths for alumina, container and log. It is the coastal export and import port and distribution base for energy, raw materials such as coal, iron ore, alumina, log, steel, petroleum, chemicals, also the ideal site for industrial development.

Railway: Three railways: the east-west direction railway can reach Rotterdam, Holland via Sian, forming the outpost of the new Euroasia land bridge. The south-north direction railways are the main railways along the seaside in China, which can directly link Shanghai, Hangzhou, etc. Passenger trains to Beijing, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Sian, Harbin are in operation. Cargo trains can reach many big cities at home and abroad.

Airport: There are QingdaoLiutingInternationalAirport, LianyungangAirport and LinyiAirport at the radius of 150 km around Rizhao with 1.5 hour driving.
